H.E Governor Salim Mvurya held a meeting at the Council of Governors secretariat with Department for International Development, Jumuiya ya Kaunti za Pwani (JKP) Chair and members of the secretariat. This meeting was a follow up on previous Consultative meeting regarding possible areas of cooperation in preparation of the JKP ECONOMIC BLUE PRINT. Some of the agendas discussed were, Support to JKP to develop an economic blue print, discuss establishment of a legal framework for JKP as a way of structuring and strengthening engagement within the Jumuiya economic bloc and developing strategies for the coastal counties. In attendance were , Sarah Cooper (Team Leader, Governance and Security, DFID-Kenya), Farida Abbas (CEO, British Chamber of Commerce - Kenya), Graham Shaw (Chairman, British Chamber of Commerce - Kenya), Caroline Gesami (Head of UK-Trade and Investment, British High Commission) , Kaley Nash (East Africa Head of the Conflict Stability and Security Fund), Alexandra Sheppard (Second Secretary Political/Security, British High Commission) and Con Osendo (Governance Adviser/Devolution Lead, DFID-Kenya)
