Invited guests,
Ladies and gentlemen.
•I take this opportunity to thank you all for availing yourself for this auspicious event.
Ladies and gentlemen
•First, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the KMPDU for exercising patience and restraint during the negotiation process. This allowed the negotiating team ample time to resolve all outstanding issues in an environment devoid of tension. Further your patience allowed for consultation of all stakeholders, including constitutional bodies mandated to advise on matters human resource. If this cordial approach would be adopted by the Kenya National Union of Nurses, Kenya would resolve her industrial and labour issues amicably without affecting healthcare service provision. As we may all be aware, International labour practice is that critical services are not affected whenever there is industrial action

Ladies and gentlemen
•I wish to sincerely thank all stakeholders who have been involved in this arduous process. We look forward to continuing the cordial working relationship for the betterment of the lives of Kenyans.
Ladies and gentlemen
•As we sign the Doctors’ Recognition and Collective Bargaining Agreement and subsequently register the documents with the Employment and Labour Relations Court, may we always be reminded that the care for human life is the first and most noble objective of good governance.
•We reiterate our commitment to finding a lasting solution that will foster industrial harmony in the health sector.

God bless you, God bless Kenya
