Ken Mike Oluoch – Programme Officer Sustainable Development Goals
Ken holds a Masters of Arts Degree in Social Development and Management from Maseno University, a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Planning and Management from Kenyatta University, and a postgraduate diploma in Environmental Systems Management from Galilee College Israel. He also has a Certificate in Result Based Monitoring and Evaluation, and in Advocacy and Policy Analysis. He has vast experience in field of environment, Sustainable Development, Advocacy and Community Development having held various related positions in different organizations.
Ruth Olendo Chitwa- Senior Communication Officer
Ruth is a Public Relations Practitioner who has horned her skills working in the Public Service since the year 2007. She has been involved in communication for development through stakeholder mobilization and engagement. Ruth holds a degree in Language and Literary Studies with a major in Linguistics from Moi University and a Post Graduate Diploma in Public Relations from the University of Nairobi. In her previous engagement with Brand Kenya Board, she was instrumental in developing and executing PR and Communications campaigns, organizing programs aimed at citizens attitude change like the National Youth Summit 2013 and coordinating country marketing initiatives like the "Nitakuwepo" and "Mark of Identity" Ruth is an active member of the Public Relations Society of Kenya.
Caroline Sang- Knowledge, Learning and Communications Officer
Caroline joins the Symbiocity Programme that supports 7 pilot counties as the Knowledge, Learning and Communications Officer. Prior to COG, Caroline worked with Islamic Relief Worldwide-Kenya, Humanitarian Team in communications and information management. She has worked in the field of international development for over six years, particularly in information and communication work. She holds a degree in Communications and Sociology from the University of Nairobi. Caroline is an avid reader and loves to travel.
Ronald Odanga- Photographer
Ronald holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Broadcast Productions from University of Nairobi, a Diploma in Mass Communication from The East African School of Media Studies and a Diploma in Broadcast Journalism and Media Studies from the Institute of commercial Management (ICM). He also has a Certificate in 3D and Animation from Shang Tao Media Arts College. He has vast experience in production, advertising, multimedia, camera techniques, scripting and photography having worked in Media, Production and Non-Governmental organizations.
Jennifer Kimani- Internal Coordinator
Jennifer has over eight years in project management, fundraising and sponsorship, communication and public relations, environmental management, event and conference management and budgeting. Her key areas of expertise are strong and effective organizational, communication and analytical skills, a team player who is able to use her own initiative to achieve organization objectives.
Jennifer’s has a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Economics this also includes other certificates on Organizational Capacity Building and Trans boundary Water Management. She has a passion for governance and environmental advocacy issues specifically Wetland Management.
Ben Adika -Senior Program Officer – Health
Ben is a long serving Public Health Specialist, with 28 years’ of working experience in the delivery of public health services. He has worked in various capacities within the civil service in the Ministry of Health – Kenya at different level (Divisional, District and National) where he started his career before joining the African Medical Research Foundation (AMREF) as a Health Education Officer attached to a Community Based Health Care project within the largest slum - Kibera in Kenya coordinating hygiene and sanitation issues while helping to establish in the construction of the Kibera CBHC clinic. Ben has worked with United Nations Children Fund (UNICEF), Somalia as the Project Officer, for the Global Fund Malaria program. Ben also worked with Family Health International 360 as the Program Manager - Communication for Change, Malaria Program. He took the lead in coordinating the Malaria Social and Behaviour Communication Change program in Kenya closely guiding the Ministry of Health. Ben also worked with MENTOR Initiative (a multi-country international NGO) as the Country and Technical Director for Liberia. In the dual role, Ben managed the overall implementation of the Liberia programs and provided technical oversight and project management. Ben has also undertaken Independent Public Health & Promotion Consultancy. He has successfully completed a consultancy with the World Health Organization – Kenya and the John Hopkins University, Bloomberg School of Public Health – Baltimore, Maryland (USA). He has provided guidance and facilitated the development of the Kajiado County HIV AIDS Strategic Plan 2016-2018/2019 on a voluntary
