New Staff Joining the Secretariat


Andrew Teyie joined the Council of Governors as the Director-Communication on 17th January 2017. Andrew has over 20 years’ experience in Communication and Journalism. He holds a Master degree in Mass Communication from University of Leicester, United Kingdom, Professional Master’s Degree in Journalism and Newswriting from Massey College, University of Toronto, Canada and Higher Diploma from London School of Journalism, UK. He has worked for Standard Media Group, Nation Media Group and Radio Africa Group among others over the years.


Mugambi Laibuta joined the Council of Governors as the director legal services on 12th January 2017. Mr. Laibuta holds a master of laws degree with specialization in Human Rights from the London school of economics and Political Science. He was a recipient of the Chevening Scholarship under the Foreign and Commonwealth Office of the United Kingdom in 2010. He is an advocate of the high court of Kenya, a trained


Stephen Osingo joined COG as Best Practice, Monitoring and Evaluation Manager, 1 December 2016. He holds a BSC degree in Natural Resources Management (Egerton University) and a Professional Master Degree in Geo-Information Science and Earth Observation (ITC-Netherlands). He is currently undertaking Master of Science in Entrepreneurship at JKUAT. He has 20 years of work experience in Bilateral Programmes and International NGOs mainly in programme implementation and in providing advisory services to diverse organizations.



Hussein W. Gedo joined the Council of Governors as Program Officer - Urban Planning and Development with effect from 4 April 2017. He has a master’s degree in Spatial Planning (Urban & Regional planning) from the Technical University of Dortmund, Germany, and the School of Urban and Regional Planning (SURP) of the University of the Philippines. He has over 15 years’ experience in both land management and urban planning.


David Kisabuli joined Council of Governors on 18th January 2017 as the Programme Officer – Finance. He holds BCOM from the KCA University and CPAK and a member of the Certified Public Accountant of Kenya (ICPAK). Currently undertaking Master of Science in Finance at University of Nairobi. He has over 8 years in Finance & Grants Management.


Wellington Morton Magoi joined the Council as the Internal Auditor, with effect from 16th March 2017. He holds a BCOM from the University of Nairobi and CPA (k). He is a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK). He is also a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IAA). He has over 20 years’ experience in financial management and auditing.


Anne Tek has joined the Council as Program Officer – Natural Resource Management from 3 April 2017. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Forestry from Moi University and currently pursuing MBA in Strategic Management from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology. She has over 3 years’ experience in the management of Natural Resources and 7 years on matters of CSO capacity building, governance, human rights, networking and collaboration
