COG Staff End of Year Party

SF4A02602016 has been a tough, challenging yet fruitful year for the COG secretariat. The secretariat has grown from a lean number to a team of 60 employees and about 20 interns taking up new projects while embracing new stakeholders and donors on board.

To end the year in style, the team converged on 20th December evening at the Jacaranda hotel to give thanks and celebrate.
Spirits were high as the team of young men and women celebrated the incredible wins especially the seamless coordination and tireless coordination of matters between the national and county governments all for the development of the nation. Job titles and devolution related matters were set aside as the team got down to have a good time, celebrating the achievements gained in 2016 and appreciating the challenges they had faced along the way.

The CEO, Jacqueline Mogeni in her end of year address to the staff, appreciated everyone for the support and diligent work they had all accorded her. In addition she presented a token of appreciation to her secretaries Mary Ashira and Rose Chebet, as a show of gratitude for the going beyond their call of duty, never complaining and supporting her so that she could ultimately deliver on her role. She equally thanked them for the numerous sacrifices they had to make in the process because behind every successful woman is a tribe of other successful women who have her back. The two drivers Yabesh Morara and Okwako Elphas were also recognized for their support too.
Equally recognized was the Health committee that bagged the best committee of the year as nominated by all staff. The team was recognized for their dedication in addressing issues and challenges faced within the year diligently and professionally.
The team made merry and closed down to return refreshed in the New Year.

Merry Xmas and a Happy New Year to you!
