Mine is to welcome you to this important event. The purpose of this launch is to unveil the online registration and officially commence the countdown. This is also an avenue to create awareness about devolution conference in an effort to encourage all players to get involved.

The Council of Governors has been holding weekly Multi-Agency meetings to prepare for the conference.  This is the third year that we will be holding the Conference and we are determined to deliver a world class forum for participants.

We are excited that you have taken time off your busy schedules to join us today and we look forward to hosting you in Meru.

We have developed a prospectus with all the details that you might need in our preparations towards the Conference.

The theme this year is ‘ The promise of Devolution: Consolidating the Gains after transition and Looking into the future’ .We will be looking at the successes, the challenges and mapping the way forward in order to secure devolution.

I welcome you all and hope to see you at the Conference in Meru in April.
